CD: Rainy Day Raga by PETER WALKER, 1990, Vanguard 10 cuts. Single CD in clear plastic jewel case. Clean. VG condition. No visible flaws to the CD. Inlays are also in excellent condition. Jewel case has a couple of minor scratches/scuffs and one small crack on the back. Vanguard - VMD 79238 US, 2004. Reissue of album released in 1967 Folk, World, Country American folk guitarist. Born in 1938 in Boston, MA. His music often referenced flamenco and Indian classical forms. Walker was a central figure in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the sixties, where he was particularly close to Karen Dalton and Sandy Bull . His debut LP "Rainy Day Raga" was released by Vanguard Records in 1966, followed by the release of "Second Poem" in 1968. In 2007 he was coaxed out of retirement by the Tompkins Square label.
